Venue Finding Agency System


The Background

We have an off-the-shelf accommodation and conference booking system called BookIT, which is in use by a number of venue finding agencies.

Our customer, a major venue sourcing specialist company, had used BookIT for several years but wanted a lot more that wasn't available, even in BookIT.

What we did

We developed a custom version of BookIT and added lots of special features, including a whole new web-based Management Information System where the customer's clients could log in and view booking and enquiry history, make new enquiries and view and accept proposals.

We had developed a very strong and trusting working relationship with the client so he had no hesitation in asking us to develop a new system based on, and utlising the facilities of, the standard BookIT system.

It took just one day to convert the old accounts system to Dimensions and the Academy was up and running with the new system within a fortnight of placing the order with Hoge 100.
